Apple Cider Donuts, Anyone?

Elevate your next fall soiree with these delicious apple cider donuts! You're guests will thank you!

My family went apple picking this past weekend and came home with a bounty of delicious apples! I decided to dress up my new candy cart using the apples and fresh florals. I `made these melt-in-your-mouth apple cider donuts to finish off this fall tableaux.

The recipe is super easy and you can substitute the egg with more applesauce. I didn't try this recipe with gluten free flour, but I'm sure they would be just as tasty as well!

First, gather all your ingredients...

Let's start by preheating the oven to 350*. Reduce your apple cider (to about 1/2 cup) in a small saucepan over Medium heat for about 20 min. Next, whisk together your dry ingredients and mix your wet ingredients separately. Combine your dry and wet ingredients to form your delicious batter. It'll be a lumpy batter.

Spoon or pipe your batter into your pre-greased donut pans. Fill those suckers up to the top! Bake for about 12 minutes. While your donuts are baking, melt a 1/4 cup of butter in a small bowl. Mix sugar and your favorite spices together in a separate bowl. These are about to make your donuts magic!

Once done, let your donuts cool slightly before popping out of the pan. Try gently loosening from the sides if necessary. Dunk your donuts in the melted butter and dip in your sugar mix and voila, your DELICIOUS APPLE CIDER DONUTS are ready! If there are any left, store in a loosely-covered container.

Makes about 20 donuts.

Enjoy!
